The world Arduino Day is celebrated across the world and this year’s is the 10th Edition.

Arduino?

An Arduino is an open source platform that allows users to create electronic objects that are interactive. Open source means it is readily available for use by everyone. The fact that an Arduino is open source gives it the popularity over some of the microcontrollers.

Other advantages of the Arduino include:

  • It is cheaper than other Microcontrollers
  • It is easy to learn. You can take 3-4 months to learn how to use an Arduino.
  • It is versatile — cross platform, used for robotics, sensing, automation and so on.
  • There is an active community of users who are willing to share knowledge, code and resources both online and offline for others to use.

An Arduino is the heart of a microcontroller, which is an embedded system. An embedded system is both hard ware or software that controls a system and allows the system to interact with it.

Why is Arduino Day celebrated?

  • To make Arduinos available for everyone both students and professionals.
  • To spread the idea that creativity when combined with technical knowledge can help tackle the modern time challenges.
  • To build a bigger community.

Conclusion:

Embedded systems with Artificial Intelligence can actually improve our lives. That is actually the essence of Technology. Are you just knowing of Arduinos or Arduino Day? Let me know in the comment section.

Thank you for reading.
